If you really knew how to eat, you'd know that it's better for you to take your time. Also, I like my patty to be juicy, so there is no possibility for it to not 'soak up' the bun. As for going through the bun with chopped onions, there is no such thing when you eat burgers with the real thing: kaiser buns.

Eating at a normal pace I can pretty much eat a hamburger before the bun is soaked. There's a difference between juicy and watery, too.
Kaiser buns don't really slip, anyway.
I'll give you that when eating with Kaiser buns as opposed to normal burger buns, you can put something under the patty as the Kaiser bun is thicker than the normal burger bun. Onions do fit nicely under.
