Default Problem? Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

I don't know if this is the proper place to post this or not. If it isn't, I'm sorry, I'm new here.

Anyways, I'm having a probem with a rom I downloaded, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.

There is this square jewel I'm supposed to get that the place it is marked is not where it is stated to be at the FAQS at Gamefaqs. I cant seem to get this jewel, and since I cant do that, I can't continue with the story and beat the game.

Has anyone else downloaded or played this game that might help me out with this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

It's highly unlikely that the ROM is screwed up. Are you SURE you're doing it right?

I haven't played the game myself, but a little more detail would be nice. Which guide are you using? What part exactly?

    Which dungeon/town/etc.?

I turned out it was because I had used a password at the very start of the game, making it a linked game, which changed the locations of a few things. I figured it out, and everything is fine now. Sorry to waste anyone's time with this.
