If you get Absinthe made to one of the old recipes (read: one containing proper Wormwood extract) then there are active chemicals aside from the alcohol. But in the amounts you find in absinthe, you'd be long dead from alcohol poisoning before you experienced any strong effect. Unless you happen to have a crazy tolerance for alcohol and/or are particularly vulnerable to the effects of thujone.

Not that it matters, because thujone isn't a hallucinogen to begin with.

I've heard it put forth that some of the tales associated with Absinthe could be traced back to certain chemicals used by less scrupulous makers to disguise the appearance of cheap or outright knock-off versions. Don't know how true that is, so take it with a handful od salt.

All three times i drank cheap tiger beer, but only a little on my last(this) time. This time i had some really sweet green stuff (20+% alcohol) plus something else. I think it was whisky (40+%). My face just lit up right after.

Or when i threw up in my friends car at 3am. No tequila lesson learned. I stick to weed, its never done me wrong.
Nope, i was visiting friends' friend this year. And i dont wanna smoke... anything

Edit: Yeah... water helps you sober up... so.. yeah.
Ah okay, I thought it was far fetched, but I heard it made you hallucinate or of the sort. Why's it illegal again?

Partially because of it's undeserved reputation as a hallucinogen, partially because thujone (the main active chemical in wormwood extract and the stuff wrongly credited with giving Absinthe it's non-existant tripping effect) is actually poisonous in high doses.

If you go to a doctor, he probably won't do anything about you being under age. Their job is to help you get better, not to uphold the law.

Of course, then theres the chance you will get a prick for a doctor

    The hell there isn't.

Now, I would say that marijuana isn't as bad for you as alcohol, but first off there is memory loss, then theres cancer, other general lung problems, and gum disease. It's probably not too good for your throat either.

But, marijuana also has benefits, whereas alcohol doesn't. I remember reading a study saying that it helps regenerate cells for one of the lobes of your cerebrum. Can't remember details, though.

Of course, if you smoke cigarettes and marijuana, as most people do, then you are on a rough track.

EDIT: Wait, did I say alcohol doesn't have benefits? Of course it does If you only drink a glass every so often it is a great stress reducer. It's only getting slammed that doesn't have benefits.

Wine is supposedly also good for your heart and whatever else.

Whole circulatory system if I remember right from my slightly off-hand sources

I've never heard of anyone going into a marijuana induced psychosis. And I know a loooot of people who smoke it.

Never said it was, but, yes, you're right, it triggers psychosis where psychosis might be present. Gonna just go on a limb and say that maybe, just maybe, psychosis would never manifest itself if it weren't for the pot consumption.

It's still cannabis-induced though, in that it causes episodes that
weren't a problem before the drug was involved. The serious users who aren't affected, are still affected mentally, with things like personality change, and mood swings in the meantime. I've seen this myself, in friends and others.
