My friend had this once. It was from Beer or Jägermeister. He had blood vessels around his eyes break It was severe, but it also made him sick for a few days. Gotta be careful.

My only after effect when I'm done drinking is wishing I was still drinking, followed by being able to get to sleep a lot easier than usual later on in the night.

I get sick everytime I drink it. It's one of those alcohols I can't stomach. Jäger plus cheap Vodka and cheap Tequila.

I have a friend that would import it. It has a similar taste to Jager, just MUCH stronger.

I beg to differ. I have never been drunk. I drink in small quantities because I love the flavor.

I hear if you take a swig of water after every swig of alcohol you won't get a hangover in the morning, because the hangover is caused by the dehydration caused by the drying effect of the alcohol.

Not going to bother reading up on this (I've actually done it once before) but all those claims were incorrect, and it's, quite simply, alcohol. Don't know if any Absinth bans are still in effect.

Edit: Yeah... water helps you sober up... so.. yeah.
