Default Should Game Manuals be added to this site?

This is just an idea of mine and I was just wondering if anyone shared it. Lately I have decide to start downloading game manuals and maps for each game I download. I realized it is very difficult and some times near-impossible (Sometimes Impossible) to find scans of the originals. Take Final Fantasy for the NES it's no problem to find the manual, but the original map and monster poster that cam with it were not to be found anywhere. I would really enjoy having these even if I don't physically own them. So basically I'm talking about a download section for scans of the original maps and manuals for games.

So tell me what you think. I would appreciate Member and Staff Comments.

I believe there are some on the main site, but imo, go right ahead!
If you get it OK'ed by the staff, I could scan some of my own to upload too.

Well there are currently strategy guides, comics, and gaming magazine (Example:Nintendo power, Egm), but currently nothing for the manuals and maps.

If you could convince byuu, author of bsnes and home to byuu.org, to pass his images on to someone, we'd have a shit ton of 'em for SNES; game scans, manuals, and box art. Sadly I don't think he will in our lifetime, copyright law and all that jazz, and his work will be lost on that. It's worth having another person give it a shot though.

Sounds no worse than posting random images and guides up anonymously. Doesn't seem that harmful to me, maybe someone could stick a link to the manual and/or strategy guide in their uploads.

Yeah maybe we could start off a new section on EP for this. Quite a wonderful idea. : ) We do have manuals for some consoles/systems on the site on the rom info pages. But a more extensive collection would definitely be pretty cool!

This idea is good in theory, but I have tried this before on other sites so I say to you good luck.

I have new-found respect to the OP, and the others for willing to bust their nuts to give us scans :>

If I had a scanner, I'd be more than willing to contribute, but since I don't, I'll just sit around here, and view the progress like the lazy ass I am :B

I'll see what I have left. Mainly PS1. I tried a PS1 manual set, but I got no followers who I know had manuals.

Where is the section for manuals? What do you need for a submittal to the list?
