brave fencer problems

Hi, im new to ps emulators, i understand everything except ps and up. but i can never seem to get an iso to work.

what I really wanna play is brave fencer. so i downloaded all 4 files pushed them strait into magic ISO and made me the iso disk thing. i was stoked and went to my epsxe with anticipation, hoping this time i got it. but to no avail. the screen goes black and a second later the windows tool bar appears. after this i can do anything unless i press esc, which just gets me out of the program.

what Am i doing wrong. i really wanna play this game. thanks for the help in advance.

First download all the parts into the same folder, then, use a program like winrar or 7zip to extract (right click the first part and select extract here). You should have a few files with extensions like .img, .bin, .cue, .ccd, ect. The file you should load into the epsxe emulator is .img .bin or .iso.

ok i should have figured that to be the problem. now i got it working and im totaly happy, but im having the same problem that i have with accule disks. it seems to be on slight fast forward. im sure theres a simple solution, i just cant find it. and ideas?

use a different plug-in, samething happened to me for final fantasy 9

Go to ePSXe, config, video, configure and make sure to check use fps limit and auto detect fps or set the the fps limit to 60fps. It's all under framarate. Then accept.

yes, that word like a dream. im sooo happy yay.

now if you could tell me somthing else. my magic iso only make stuff under 300 mb, so right now i cant make the second game of legened i wanted to tangle agian, silent hill. do i find a diffrent iso maker or do i need to buy it. cus im poor.

As Tanthias told you, you only need Winrar to extract the image file. What are you using Magic ISO for?

to turn the extracted files into to isos. right. dont i need them to be iso images before i can do anything with them?

IIRC, almost any image type will work. .iso .bin stuff like that

No need to do it, any image file will work. And if you need to convert image files you can use a free application like ISOBuster.

The only format that won't work with ePSXe is Alcohol's .mds/.mdf format.

But you can still play mds/mdf with ePSXe if you mount the mds/mdf to a virtual drive and setup ePSXe to play the mounted mds/mdf as if it were an actual CD--using the Run CDROM command instead of Run ISO.

well that that makes it alot easier, thanks a bunch. but now im having an acule problem i think. i am going to make a seperate thread being as its a different game problem. but that will happen if what im trying now dosnt work.
