    Default 90 Minute CD-Rs?

I keep reading here and there that some DC games require 90 minute CD-Rs, and that you have to overburn them, and that's all well and good.

I have one question, though: where the heck do you get 90 minute CD-Rs? It may be because I live in a small(ish) town, but Walmart doesn't seem to have 'em... also, what size are most Dreamcast images, when all is said and done? The only CD-Rs I have right now are 700MB, and if that's enough for JGR and maybe Marvel Vs Capcom 2 then I'm content (for now).

You just need CD-Rs that are 700MB.

800MB CD-Rs should be the 90 minute variety.

Alright, thanks. Walmart has those, but they're "Photo" CDs or something and claim to hold a certain amount of pictures instead of minutes... and, well, me being the Cautious Caped Cheap-o as I am wanted to make sure.

You say 650MB CD-Rs are the 74 minute, I have 700MB CD-Rs here that claim to hold 80 minutes, so by that math, 800MB should be 92 minute.

I doubt Walmart really has 90 min CD-R's.

I bought mine online, but I can't remember where...

this looks like a good site: http://www.meritline.com/cdr-24x-90m...lank-disc.html

To properly burn those large-sized DC images to a 90 minute CD-R, you have to overburn. Make sure your drive supports it at the 90 Minute level. My old one didn't.

According to EVEREST, my CD-RW drive is a LG GCE-8483B, and according to this site, the LG GCE-8481B can overburn up to 99:59 minutes. Now, I assume that, since the 8481B can do it, then surely the 8483B, which is 2 whole B's higher, should be able to do it.

That makes sense, right? ... right?

Actually, I can't find anything about LG GCE-8483B being able to overburn.

    So, maybe it can't.

I haven't tried my new one...never really wanted to play those 99Min releases all that much.

I actually do need coasters, but I'd prefer to have a working game that I could use as an emergency coaster anyway.

Well, according to Nero, at least, I just successfully burned a 90 minute CD, so I guess my burner CAN overburn. Whether or not it can burn a 90 minute Dreamcast-compatible CD will have to wait until my Dreamcast actually arrives.

Now to play the waiting game... does anyone know any cheats for it?
