whats a good cheating app?

PEC doesn't have the games i play, so i downloaded the pec editor, and it says error so whats a good cheating app for epsxe?

For emulators sometimes use ArtMoney, It's worked well for NES, SNES, and Genesis games. Haven't used it with epsxe, but I imagine it would work fine for something simple like health or ammo.

You can add your own cheats for games not listed in PEC. I tried it on some games (......in Japanese!) and the cheats worked perfectly.

File -> User database

And you'll see this menu.



Here you can add individual gameshark codes and give them a new (obvious name for each cheat would be [Name of the game + what the cheat does]
Check their boxes, run the plugin, start up the game and your custom added checked cheats will be activated.

In a Nutshell:

1) File -> User database
2) click on 'Add Cheat' button
3) On the right give the cheat a title (game name + cheat description for simplicity)
4) Type the gameshark codes in the two small boxes on the bottom right, click 'Add' (the gameshark codes have to be valid of course, be sure the codes you are using match the region of the game)
5) They will show up in the big box to the right under 'Codes'
6) Check the boxes of your cheat(s) you made in the left window
7) OK
8) 'Send cheats to plugin' -> start the emulator
9) Have fun cheating


I don't know if it works if you make multiple gameshark cheat codes to a single custom-made cheat title. I never tried it. Since PEC itself warns you not to enable too many cheats, I would recommend to make an individual title for each cheat and check them one by one.

GS or CodeBreaker. in my experience CB works better

You, could also just edit in the codes manually through PEC's codelist.inf. It's not that hard. But I guess that other method is easier.
