Default Skies of arcadia loading problem (also a possible Chankast problem)

    problem:

    1. Skies of Arcadia won't load even though I've played it already (its patched and I am using Chankast with the "Don't report cd errors" checked.)

    2. Every time I mount it on my virtual drive and run Chankast WITH the correct drive it doesn't run the game. It loads the Bios and even when I choose play it returns to the Bios(it can't be my daemon V4.10 because I've played it already.)

    3. I've tried to "renew" my Chankast by deleting the old emulator and re-extracting it. All I got from that is my SOA file removed. (though I think this is my fault because I've said yes to over writing it)

I am running on windows XP. I think I've given a detailed description of my problem. So can anyone help me?

    Yeah, thanks.

I've downloaded it and there is a slight problem. It seems that nulldc can't detect the bios I've copy pasted in the data folder. Any suggestions?

    edit:

Hey thanks. I know the problem already after reading the readMe file on the nulldc. (the problem was a corrupted dc_flash.bin) Am going back to the Chankast thanks For the help though.

problem with using nullDC for SoA is you can't find the chams, unless i'm missing something.

Hi. It's me again, may I ask a question?

If you ever played SOA, on the Yafutoma: Mt. Kanzai mission, there is a part where you go underwater. Well the thing is that once you actually go underwater the screen changes to some sort of FUBAR menu screen. Is there anyway around it?

(Also I've considered playing with nullDC, but I'm not sure how to transfer the files from the Chankast VMU to the nullDC VMU.)

    edit:

Hmm, I've just worked my way around the whole FUBAR screen thing. But now There's another problem, I just patched disk 2 of SOA and when I try to run it it goes to the grey, half screen, "produced by sega" screen and goes back to the Bios screen. A little help?

Also tried the disk two on nulldc, same problem. Goes to the produced by sega then goes back to the bios screen.

You need to get another copy of the game, the entire game, not just one disc.

There's a copy of SoA that was ripped by another group, Hykan, that's 4 discs and doesn't need to be patched to run on emulators.

    You can find it here:
    http://www.epforums.org/sprungs-drea...178/index.html

But you'll need to first make 8 more posts, anywhere here except in the Hang Out, to be granted access.

So I guess I got to start everything from scratch? (there's a long "Nuo" here but that'll be just spam)

Or is the 4 disk version compatible with the ECH saves? (please let it be compatible.)

No it's not compatible with Echelon's rips save.

    Echelon's release = PAL
    Hykan's release = NTSC/U

    In regards to Astaroth's post:
    SON OF A BITCH!

    And to piano:
I downloaded them, but my emulators seem to have crapped out on me.

EDIT: Wait, ECH is PAL? i thought that was the NTSC version. Maybe that explains my problem. Now, to locate a PAL BIOS. Wow, lots of acronyms there.
