Yeah, already did, it was the one where I can't even get past the pirate Isle vid (the one where they're going to be docking in the Isle.) Okay, am going to try the US bios. (pray for me )

if that doesn't work I might as well give up the game.

    Edit:

Segnin, are you sure that it doesn't need a boot cd? Even with the US bios, it goes to the music player. *sigh* I guess the gods doesn't like me playing a dreamcast game .

NullDC can't seem to read the .nrg file with the Image Reader plugin.

So, you have to mount the .nrg file to a newer version of Daemon Tools (because 3.29 can't read .nrg files either) then start NullDC.

Then go to Options > Select Plugins > under GDRom plugin, choose zNullGD > OK.

Now go to Options > GDRom > and choose the letter of your virtual drive.

Then go to File > Normal Boot.

    And the game should start.

Below is a screenshot of SoA running on NullDC 1.6 (the newest one) using NullPVR and NullAICA plugins.

    Finally! XD

it worked! Thanks Segnin! (am finally going to play that blasted game XD)

    edit:

Wait how do you set the frame rate to 60 on nulldc? =p

    Edit2:

Okay, I've played the game, and went to take a break. When I re-opened nulldc a pop up appeared saying:

"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_35.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

But after I pressed ok, nulldc stayed. Should I be alarmed by this or should I let it be?

For the frame rate, which bios are you using?
    Try the NTSC/US one.

    For the missing .dll file:
    Search in C:\WINDOWS\system32 for d3dx9_35.dll.

If it's there, you don't need to worry.

If it's not, you need to update your DirectX:

What if it isn't there? It's still okay right? Also, its only the bios I need to change right? Not the flash.bins

Is there any reason why you can't update DirectX?

Because if d3dx9_35.dll is not there, then you need to update your DirectX:

You need to change both the dc_boot.bin and the dc_flash.bin to the NTSC/US ones.

But if the game is working with the PAL bios/flash, then don't bother changing anything unless playing 50 fps instead of 60 fps really bothers you.

I'm sorry for double posting but I need to update this thread

This will, hopefully, be the final question:

    (I'm in disk 2 already)

It seems like that the only PVR plugin that 1.6 can detect is the chankast plugin, (I want to use the nulldc plugin) any suggestions on how I can fix this? It also seems that everytime I access the menu and I exit said menu, it freezes on the black screen. (As in EVERYTIME)

    I have no idea.

NullDC 1.6 is fairly new, and NullDC is still very much a work-in-progress.

Try using the ChanKast audio plugin with the ChanKast video plugin.

Or maybe try NullDC 1.0 (the older one)

But can you transfer the save file from the 1.6 to the 1.0?

(Don't tell me that I need to repeat the game again?)
