    Default is there a microsoft window fax and picture view

    windows XP had it, but Vista doesn't. can i download that program, or something like that?

    i found window photo gallery, BUT it doesn't do what i want it to do!
    i want to save a gif, then view if.which it doesn't do that.

    open the gif with ie or mozilla, just drag it in.

    Come with Windows Vista Home Premium if I recall. You got Vista Home Basic?

    Umm, I think that if you don't have that you should try irfanview. It's free and it's a nice image browser.

    well, i use to save stuff, so i ca use it as my avatar. for some reason when i copy in the link it says too large, but when i saved it to Microsoft window fax and picture view, and uploaded it, it worked. as u can see i have no avatar...

    i want this guy...thing as my avatar,but i can't get him.

    Right click on the gif and select "preview"

    The windows picture and fax viewer was replaced with the "Windows Photo Gallery" program, its essentially the same app, but with some added features.

    where at? on the internet or what? on FF theres no preview when i right click.

    There should be a file on your computer, preferably a file ending with the .gif file extension. Right click (right mouse button) on that file (notice I'm not mentioning a web browser here), and select the word "preview." You should now see the image that you were trying to look at.
