I had a ball ache of a time trying to upgrade from 3.52 to 3.52-4. It kept saying the file was corrupt.

Yay for me XD. I tried 4 times, and everytime it failed I had to use the Recovery option in the Recovery Menu, reverting it back to 1.50. So, lots of hassle.

I think it might have had something to do with how the psp is turned off, if it is still in sleep mode for example.

Do you rename any of the updates? The guides I have seen never mention whether to rename the updates for custom firmware.
