    Default Linux + Wal-Mart = Green Machine!

    http://www.ecogeek.org/content/view/1108/

Wal-mart did something cool for once. Maybe M$ will really start feeling the pressure for once if this goes well. DISCUSS!

Yeah, I know. But still. I ran Linux on my PC with better specs than the Wal-mart one, and did no gaming on it, and it was nice to have that performance.

    Ew.

That's true. The PC itself is 200, and the OS itself is 0.

is this some knock off of the one laptop for every child project? I read something the other day, the pc they build is so incredibly sub standard it's a complete joke. like WTF? they're trying to sell them to 3rd world countries. LOL

these specs are not that bad, but marketing idea. Sell the ram at a super premium price to the average user. You know Walmart can make money on lint from their employees pockets. There gotta be some profit in selling this. Linux FTW

Something about the CPU not containing carbon and the case has a tiny power supply. I don't understand how either helps anything.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Ubuntu: The first OS coded by 10 year old chinese kids.

    Yeah, this is gonna tank.

    I can see it now.

Everyone knows Linux is complicated, annoying, high tech, and only for nerds!

"Green" because of the background and that "green" sells for whatever reason.

As for the specs, they're not that bad. Still better than mine, anyway.

I'm betting kids will get teased at school if their family has a Green Machine.
