    Default Elder Scrolls Online.

    http://pc.ign.com/articles/832/832355p1.html

    Hell yeah.

The whole of Tamriel can be easily bigger than all of WoW's world.

    Now I await MORE details.

If they were to make an Elder Scrolls Online I would hope it's a side series and they would still have a single player game. Something about the personal accomplishment of playing by yourself is something I like more than a MMORPG. I'm all for it but would rather buy Elder Scrolls 5 before it though. That's just me though.

When has that ever happened when something was MMO'd?

    This is terrible news.

Last thing I want in my Tamriel is a bunch of "can U helps me questplz I neds leet armorz"

Oh, and now you'll need an internet connection to play TES.

    Good job geniuses...

Don't you know that everyone has reliable broadband now. Who cares anyway. Single player is dead. Oblivion was like one of the worst games I ever played.

    'cept you

I've spent many an hour sniping monsters when nowhere near a reliable unprotected wireless signal.

I'm just pissed that everything is going mmo.

With FPS I can somewhat dig it, the fact that the server is full of dudes who piss me off just makes me want to kill them more, plus I can just drop in for a few rounds then leave. But RPGs (especially lengthy RPGs) are not meant for online play.

Not to mention for this to work you'd have to majorly dumb down the gameplay. "OH HEY, DIDN'T I KILL THAT NPC 5 MINUTES AGO?" and then there's the fact that characters would have to be weakened in this one so that it'll be fair to the other players

There is no way this is going to go well.

I completely agree with you. MMO is not the way to go.

I'm agreeing with Ray. Multiplayer TES, sure, but not MMO, no fucking way. This will kill it.

I'm pissed that people wants online on every damn game now.

Like some guys from EGM complained about GTA not having an online mode, seriously, what can you play like that? Who picks or kills more whores or something?

For me, Online should be only for Fighting games, FPS and Sports games, I don't see any other use on other genres.

If multi theft auto is any indicator, races and deathmatches.

I could see capture the flag working in a GTA as well.

    ...

Oh man, capture the flag between Los Santos and Ventura.

    ....

Dammit, don't listen to me, Say no to MMO!

    Sad but true.

Zenimax/Bethesda won't shoot themselves in the foot. They know that the Elder Scrolls series were enjoyable because they are single player massive RPG's.

Yet it would be fun to enter dungeons full of daedra with a couple of buddies... die Breton.

I'm sure that somebody will play it.

When speaking about online play, I am very surprised that noone has complained abou the "lack" of online coop in Mario Galaxy.

Nintendo will remake the same game 2 years later as a deluxe version with... cooperative online play. For the DS.

They milk their franchises like there is no tomorrow. How many versions of the older Mario's are out here aside from the VC?
