Default GBA ROM - Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros.

I have about 5 different ROMS for my GBA emulator (Visual Boy Advance) and they all work... except for Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros.. I tried an english ROM and a seperate Japanese ROM. They both gave me the same message: "Game Pak Error - Turn Power Off". I can't figure out what's wrong. Is it just two bad ROMS or is it the fault of my emulator?

    Try vba-over.ini:

Make sure to follow the instructions or it won't work.

You might also need the most recent beta of VBA, which you can get here:

Trust me, it's much easier to just get an NES emulator and use the NES roms.

I tried both updating VBA and the .ini thing. All it did was give me a black screen on my VBA...

Which ROM are you using, Brightside?

Also, I've noticed that after getting the most recent Beta of VBA, it's running horribly on my computer. While it used to easily run at 95-100%, it is now running anywhere from 50-120%, even with all the usual settings from the previous VBA. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Try one of the kode54 builds--recommend the SSE2 one:

VBA 1.8.0 isn't as fast as 1.7.2, which is why you should use 1.7.2 for all games that it can play, and only use the newer one for games that 1.7.2 can't emulate.

None of that seems to work for me, however I did get it to run at full speed. I'll just get an NES emulater for Mario. Thanks.
