Default Resident Evil 3 voice acting problem (most voice acting is missing/chopped), HELP!

    epsxe v1.6.0
Sound Plugin ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.
Everything but Enable SPU IRQ checked.
    Tried both Pete's D3D Driver 1.75 and Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.3
with setting defaults of "Nice", and experimentation with Filtering/textures...

    E6600 C2D @ 2.6 per core...
    2gb DDR2 Ram @ 667mhz
    8800GTS Superclocked 320mb

So the game seems to play fine, and it seems i catch voice acting in the game itself, however some parts make me feel i'm missing a line, and my biggest problem is the beginning of the game after going "New Game", "Difficulty", and wesker does his "Resident Evil", there is no audio whatsoever during the slideshow preceding the first actual cutscene...

After further testing its obvious i'm missing voice acting in game, sometimes i get it all, other times i just get the first syllable of words, etc. And given my specs what graphic plugin will i get the most out of overall and is there a better sound plugin i need to download?

    Thank you!

EDIT: YAY it works. I had to use the cdrom plugin moody2 cd disk image driver 2.8 and have sub channel data thing off, along with the image selected to run as the image I want to play

From this part of that thread, what does the bolded mean? I can't find this option anywhere...

Also i'd love to just use my daemon tools i use for my PC games, but when I try to load the cue file that came with the image on this website, it says "Unable to mount image. File Not Accessible"

For the future, it's good to have the SPU IRQ checked.

    Open the cuesheet in NotePad.

Chances are the filename in the cue doesn't match with the filename of the CD image.

If it doesn't, then correct that, then save the cue sheet.

    Then try mounting it again.

Im also having this same problem with resident evil 3.I tried bot espxe 1.52 and 1.60.I have the resident evil 3 bin.is there a way to fix this problem?I tried searching this forum and see people who posted similar questions but never got the problem fixed.how can this problem be fixed?

to seg nin what do you mean by this?
    Open the cuesheet in NotePad.

Chances are the filename in the cue doesn't match with the filename of the CD image.

If it doesn't, then correct that, then save the cue sheet.

    Then try mounting it again.

I opened the cuesheet and notepad and here's what it says:
    FILE "resident evil 3" BINARY

REM SESSION 01 ; Not supported by other applications (*)
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    REM MSF: 00:00:00 = LBA: 0

REM (*) SESSION directives are unfortunately not properly supported
REM 'out there'. IsoBuster however supports them !

Ok, when you mount the image in Daemon, the file selection window pops up, go down to the bottom pull-down "Files of Type" and switch it to All Files(*.*), then select the .bin instead of the .cue. Or select it normally and then change the extension before opening.

    I meant change this:
    FILE "resident evil 3" BINARY

    To this:
    FILE "resident evil 3.bin" BINARY

    You should use version 3.47.

What sound plugin are you using?

You could try Eternal SPU, if that's not the one you've already tried:

I am surprised. SegNin hasn't told you to make sure that 'analog audio' is enabled on your Daemon Tools.
Right click the tray icon, go to options, and make sure there is a check by analog audio.
That's always seemed to work for everyone with this problem.

He said he was using Daemon Tools 4.xx.

They removed the Analog Audio option from Daemon Tools 4.xx

But Daemon Tools 4.xx should still work.

Wouldn't that be delightful if they took out Analog audio and he was screwed?

    Ahem.
    Sorry.

If that was the case all he'd have to do is find an older version.
