Yeah that worked for 360 pretty well, but for whatever reason, I never got it to work with the PS3 correctly. That was a while ago though

Is there a better way to charge the Controllers and bluetooth headsets?

It doesnt charge them while in standby, so i kinda have to charge them while im playing -- either that or just lit my PS3 sit idle for a little while.

I was wondering if there is a way (since they do connect to the ps3 via USB cable) to charge them using my computer, which is always on - unlike my PS3.

I normally plug in my controller when I am downloading a bunch of demos...it doesn't take more than a few hours of charging to last me at least a couple of weeks. But, I probably don't use it as much as the average gamer.

Plug it in your PC, and it will charge up. USB ports are always supplied with power.

about how long you think before a general homebrew usb loader or modchip is released? I've read that the BluRay discs are just as fragile as DVD. it's kind of stupid for Sony to release a product, at $60 a pop, and its still built on old technology. The umd discs are are 100x better idea in comparison. that hypervisor exploit was a bit of a letdown.

Im not calling you a liar, but are you sure?

I tried plugging them in (the controller isn't obvious when its charging) and the headset's light normally comes on when its charging -- but it didnt when i plugged it into my computer.

Edit: Oh yeah! AND... will the controllers and headsets charge while the system is in standby? I didnt think so, but my friend is trying to prove me otherwise.

I take my info from 2 PS3 owners and what I know about USB ports. It won't charge on standby, which is the most stupid thing ever.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's in the manual. Or you can always hit up the Sony Playstation forums.

Not so much, though. Standby is a state of lowered power usage for quick start ups. But, they should have left a USB port on regardless.

    Agreed.

FW 2.0 came out recently - It had me stoked. The rumored add-ons and features were pretty much everything i had wanted to be in the XMB. But it was kinda disappointing because you cant access the XMB from in-game still.

No hack in the near future it seems. And whoever tells bluray is as fragile as DVD is dumb. To prove a point. I took a bluray disk and tried to scratch it along the corner of my desk. Nothing happened.

2.0 seems like a pretty solid update though. News ticker is kind of worthless but the custom themes is dece. Downloading Uncharted . . . hoping the game is gonna be as good as I hoped. Sounds sad, but haven't played a Naughty Dog game since Crash Bandicoot days.

Edit: Uncharted was awesome . . . so getting it over assassin's creed.

another thing that came to mind recently -- I bought a PS2 Memory card converter so i can get my save games onto my PS3, but some werent copied due to "copy protection". I was wondering if there is a way to hook it up to my computer and steal the data off the memory card that way.
