    Default locked 80gb xbox hdd

    I'm assuming it's unlockable with Xboxhdm.

    I bricked it when it was inside the Xbox so it doesn't load the dash, just gives an error screen. Which is fair enough, because I don't have that Xbox any more anyway.

    So here is what I do have;

    1. 80GB IDE HDD (which is locked to the old Xbox, and is bricked atm.)
    2. The XboxHDM disc which has the eeprom.bin on it.

    I assumed I could just load xboxhdm and unlock the drive, plug the Sata HDD back in with windows on, and format the drive into one partition or something.

    Now my questions are;

    (The guide I found for this said I need the hdd key which is saved onto the Xbox I don't have anymore's hard drive. So I can't get that back. I do however have its eeprom backup saved onto this dvd-r with Xboxhdm.

    Could someone give me the exact steps on what to do? Or just give me the right part of the Xboxhdm for dummies guide?

    edit: The disc had the HDD info.txt on it.

    Disk Serial Number : "5JRBH8EP "
    Disk Model Number : "ST310014A "

    Would this work to unlock the 80gb hdd?
