What is it about?
I love tekken.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Unfortunately, the Wiki page must have been deleted for non-notability in the interim, but the gist of my opinions should be clear by my post.
My apologies, was not here in July for that thread, should've done a search, I see.
Most of it is over done. I posted it mostly for the quality of the documentary. I am not an easy one to pull into conspiracy type documentaries, however this one caught my attention rather well.
If you have not seen it, I suggest giving it a once over, it is done in 3 parts, so if you have been religion rewritten to death, skip the first part. Second part is the US attacked itself bit, only documentary that has been able to make me consider that, and third part is federal reserve system, et cetera.

You know how I know that the US government didn't attack itself on 9/11? Because the people that made these conspiracy videos are still alive.
Think about it for a minute. If the gov't has no qualms over attacking a pair of NYC's most known buildings, and the center of all defensive operations this side of the Mississippi, and killing nearly 3,000 US citizens, what makes you think it won't hunt down and kill anyone who tries to uncover the plan?
On the subject of conspiracies, I have Proof that george bush is a reptile.
It's from youtube it can't be wrong.
Because Cheezy, why do they care? Nobody will do anything to stop them anyway, we are already under their control.

I don't know about you, but I'm not under anyone's control.

Ah, but here's what's funny. People love to laugh at conspiracy theorists. If the government acts against them, then they are given credibility on the grounds that 'clearly' the government is trying to hide something. However, if you ignore them, they continue ranting and raving, and no one will take them seriously. Clearly, therefore, if you wish to keep a secret, the best plan of action is to let the people considered to be loonies release it to the world first - it will be tarnished by association. You could even seed a few of your own people in among them to make up really outlandish stuff and discredit them further.

You live in a society. By definition, you are going to be under the control of others regardless of how free you think you are. Control through manipulation of your data sources, control through the fear of exclusion, control through the threat of force. All of which are basic foundations of society. Unless you want to go live in the mountains as a hermit, society is going to exert control and shape you to an extent.
And that's not even going into how much of an effect the initial upbringing has on limiting peoples potential outcomes and beliefs (note that none of this is a bad thing necessarily, just that they are restrictions).

Suggested reading. Check the rest of the site out too, very nice.

Better than most conspiracy sites out there, but it still fails in two areas:
Firstly, it's an opinion site getting it's articles from a very wide set of people (I'm familiar with more than a couple of the Aus submitters, frex) and it doesn't verify these articles.
Secondly, it doesn't give sources for it's information, which makes it terribly difficult to ascertain where their data is coming from and how much I can trust it.
Head and shoulders above Infowars and Prison Planet, but still not something I can 100% buy into. Even if a fair chunk of what is said lines up with my knowledge, I simply can't assume that the rest is correct without being able to verify it for myself.
