Anyone know how to unstick an original (grey) PSX open button? I tried took the whole thing apart and cleaned it but it still sticks. Any ideas on how to make it not stick like it came from the factory?

Did you really take the whole thing apart, including removing the open button completely? It looks like there are only 3 parts to it not including the spring. Did you also try cleaning out the hole that the open button goes in to?

Actually there is no lubrucant at all anywhere on the button (I have an original model myself) but I noticed that the only reason it would stick is if there was dirt or what not around the hole where the open button actually goes into the case. There isn't much room around the hole so that might be the problem is that some dirt may be causing friction around the button causing it to stick.

Soap and water . No lube. I initially just wanted to get all the dirt of this bad boy, (you should have seen the condition it was in when I got it )
