    Default Twisted Metal 1 + 2 problems

Okay, I downloaded Twisted Metal 1 and 2 using romulation.net , and am having some problems.

At the end of Twisted Metal 2 battles, and when I pause, there is no 'pause' screen, and I'm wondering if the game is meant to simply stop, or there is an invisible menu. I tried fiddling with settings, but didn't do much. (I'm on default 'fast' settings, using EPSXE160, or I think 1.60)

As for Twisted Metal 1, it simply stops whenever I select a car, and there is no options. I let it 'sit' for a minute, and the game simply restarted. I think the rom was bad, or maybe it's EPSXE settings or something...I don't know.

Any advice? I'm running Windows XP, can't remember much else.

I think for Twisted Metal you need to increase off screen drawing to 3, but I dunno. I'm not the emulation expert 'round these parts.

Well, if you think that the rom you have is bad, try downloading it from somewhere else (I won't suggest any sites, because I don't know where you got your copy from).

You could also try a different emulator like psxfin, which you can get here:
    http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

I'm currently searching around for answers to your other problems, so, assuming a mod, supermod, or admin doesn't close this thread before I'm done, I'll post what I find (if anything).

edit: Well, from what I just read here: http://forums.ngemu.com/epsxe-archiv...metal-1-a.html Twisted Metal should work with enhanced offscreen drawing (which is usually 3), so you may have a bad rom after all.

I also found this: http://forums.ngemu.com/epsxe-archiv...2-problem.html which suggests using a different emulator for Twisted Metal 2... Hope it helps.

I'm pretty sure it's not a bad rom, so I will try it with a diferent emulator.
