custom firmware on slim

hi, i was planning on getting a new psp slim, so i was wondering, can they do custom firmware, could somebody link me to a tutorial for what i need for the custom firmware on it?

you need a magic memory stick + one service battery ( aka Pandoras Battery) you will need to know someone with a modded psp to make it happen.
