well for the first 1 does it not have an animation of the stick going left to right, so push it to the left or right and that does it now proceed with the rest.

    Q. How do I create new memory cards?
    A. When you're "selecting" a memory card on the Memory cards tab in the Configuration window, just type in the name of the new memory card file, and press OK, and pSX will automatically create the memory card file. Although many games will be able to format the memory card if it detects that it is unformatted, some don't. Because of this, you should start pSX with the memory card loaded, but without any game loaded. Visit the memory card screen, and any inserted, unformatted memory card will be formatted.

so i just type in a name, and i'm ready to go right?

No. Click on the 3 dot botton next to the text box then type in a name. The memory card it creates is unformatted by most games will format it when they go to save to it for the first time.

Which is why you're not supposed to double-post.

Instead, you're supposed to EDIT your previous post to add whatever new info or message that you want to it.

k...is there a way to save my controls. like project 64 does, or no. i have certain cons for 1 game to another, & i would like not to spend 40 mins trying to mod my cons the way i want them, so is there a way to save cons. like having say megaman cons, and then another games cons, or do i have to spend 40 mins trying to figure it out?

File > Configuration > Controllers > configure everything > OK.

And it should save your settings.

    EDIT--
    Oh, I see.
You mean can you save different settings to use for different games.

    No, sorry you can't.

But it doesn't take 40 minutes to change the settings, more like 40 seconds.

    EDIT2-
You can do that with ePSXe if you use a front-end like ePSXeCutor.

    But I don't know if there's such a front-end for pSX Emulator.

    EDIT3--

    Found one:

my cons seem like they like to do the opposite of what they are suppose to do. when i press left, they move right. it gets annoying, i don't know why it does this, o-well

If you're talking about the analog stick, then try checking Reverse for that stick.

    File > Configuration > Controllers > Reverse.

Also, you might be able to save settings for different games with this:

I just tried it out, and you can only save what mode is used, for the gamepad: Normal, Analog+Rumble, DualShock or GunCon.

You can't save different button configurations (yet)
