    Yeah, that's pretty much it.

    Oh, I thought I needed an access point or something.

    If it's the same of when I a wired router then I think I'll be okay. Thanks Big.

    I have a D-Link myself and while it does it job, I think another brand can perform better. Sometimes I get DC'ed for no reason.

    most routers can act as access points... if you already have a couple ports to connect stuff to on the modem/router that you already have, then the access point may be a cheaper option

    although im not sure if its gonna save you that much money so i'd personally just go with the router, in case you wanna use it for something else in the future

    Ok so I bought the WGT624 and I saw the Mimo one for a little more. How much of a difference is there between the Mimo and Super-G if I were to get a Mimo USB adapter and Mimo router?

    MIMO = Multiple-input multiple-output

    If your just using this for internet and have a good signal strength, I wouldn't really look into it. Now if your doing a lot of file transfers over a local network or the signal strength is crap, then I would consider it.

    Ok, it's just that the router always catches my eye whenever I see it at the repair department of Fry's. Looks like I'll be fine with the one I got. Thanks again, Panda.

    If your in the market for a new router, get one that has speeds up to 300mpbs and also supports the new protocol 802.11n draft. I also bought a router that had two usb ports so you can connect external hard drives for direct network share. Now you can share your hard drive full of games with everyone else! These kind of routers will alow you to stream let say for example, Divx movies to other clients on the wireless network. Makes sense to me!
