Thexder cheat doesn't work
I have tried the PC thexder cheat (old MS-DOS version) and it does not work. I've ran the game on XP SP2, 2000 SP4, dosbox versions 0.70 (my most recent) and the one prior to that, which I forgot the version # for. I've seen some sites that say turn on caps lock, start the game, then hit "esc,y,esc" or hit "esc, y,n,y,esc" and it should give you full energy or make you invincible. I get neither . Does anyone know for sure how to do this correctly? I originally bought Thexder when I was about 10, and it's taken me 22 years to get to the 4th level. Needless to say, I think I deserve to get to cheat after all this time. Thanks.
) So I got it again. I also have thexder 2, silpheed, and thexder 95 (which I can't get to run, but who cares) I just want this cheat or any similar cheat to work with this good ol' game. I've seen both of those links before, too. The only way I saw the later levels as a kid was to rename the files so I could start with a higher level. I hate getting games and not being able to finish, and my performance on this one is absolutely pathetic. But then again, it is IMHO the most difficult game ever made, on any platform, any O.S., of any gaming era. Period. Thanks again.
