Default How to burn .mp4 to DVD?

Hey yall, haven't been here for almost a month since I was out on "fall vacation".

A friend of mine gave me some movies for PSP (.mp4) and I was wondering which program is the best to use for burning the movies to DVD. Now that I'm back, I want to watch the movies on a TV screen.
I think I tried almost everything, CloneDVD2 was the only one that worked everything else is either ending up corrupted/errors or is tooooo slow.

Just wanted to know if anyone had a guide or some experience on this. I've heard people do it quickly, not sure how though. I don't think it could be a problem with the disc as DVD Decrypter/CloneDVD indicates an error.

Oh yeah, I'll try to use the farewell thread next time I'm out for a while.

EDIT: I'll try to upload pics of my travel.

    You better

alright, anyways, just to make sure its not the disc, have you tried a different brand of DVDs? Also, I've heard some success stories using this proggie:

Hey Maca, thanks anyway but I tried that link. Although Xilisoft took an eternity, it seemed to work until it got to 75% when it conveniently froze every time. Appreciate it though.

I think you were right about the discs being the issue. I tried almost all of my Memorex DVD's and ABSOLUTELY NONE of them worked. But then it hit me, I had one leftover disc from Japan (I was there last year - lucky me)

its from Victor and it instantly just worked!!!! I have no clue what I'm gonna do now since all my Jap DVD's are gone. Amazon?? Or is it just a hardware problem? Thanks again for the help - rep + 4 U.

Oh yeah, here are some of the pics I promised. They're from Hawaii *runs and hides*

Awesome! Memorex has decent CDs but their DVDs are known to give an assload of FI/FO errors. It may also be slight disc rot, how old are they? Also, try fujifilm, they make some of the best DVD-Rs

Well, actually I got them in Dec/Jan for a New Years/Christmas slideshow. They gave me a few problems but I just retried and it worked but now its just constant screwing me. Does age actually have anything to do with it? I have CD's the same age and they work perfectly.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to check out Fujifilm. No memorex for me.

Age affects DVDs more than CDs. Age is slightly important, depending on how they're stored.

I guess they should be all right, since I haven't had a need for them since January and they've been in the $8 circular plastic casing that I bought from the store. The Japanese disc was way older (May '06??) and they worked fine and stored the same way. Thanks for the heads up though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried converting a file and it worked pretty quickly but the burning process was taking forever.
