    Default Xbox 1 Joypad stopped working on Windows

    I've got a joypad for Xbox, with a USB wire added onto the end instead of the Xbox plug. So it can be used on Windows with XBCD drivers.

    I've installed the drivers and all was working until the other day. It just stopped working. Now I get this message:

    I've reinstalled the drivers, etc. It's not being recognised anymore.

    The wires were resoldered after having this problem, too.

    Nothing's working!!

    Help. =(

    manually add it in device manager?

    maybes its just broke?

    uninstall the drivers, restart and install again... c if that works

    I just found the device in the device manger, disabled and deleted what it thought were drivers.

    Installed the proper XBCD drivers, unplugged and replugged the controller, and the same problem.

    If drivers aren't the problem and resoldering the wires didn't fix it, I'd have to assume its borked.

    Send the controller to hell.

    Windows has failed in identifying it? Then maybe the cables made contact or the control chip just died out. It is dead. Last resort, test it in another PC.

    If its dead, throw it away.

    Haha fair enough.

    I'm using this shitty digital only joypad atm.

    It'll do for now I guess. I needs me a new, good one. Which isn't expensive.
