    Psychonauts.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

If you like strategy rpgs (like Front Mission or Final Fantasy Tactics), you could always check out Phantom Brave.

    You got them right.

Shame if you aren't interest in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. It's not your everyday RPG. More like a dungeon crawler I'd say. And it's pretty gameplay heavy and not so much on the story. Give it a try!

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga is probably nothing for you though as they are more like the usual RPG bunch.

I'd like to add Silent Hill 2/3/4 to my recommendations.

Aight, I'll try to find that game over here, and if I don't find it, I'll tell Sprung to upload it to his ftp

Should I try out all those or should I just jump to SH4

I'd say you should try all of them (if you haven't played them before). I can't comment on 3 (never played it...), but 2 and 4 were excellent in my opinion.

Tales of the Abyss is a kickass game.

Also, Disgaea 2 is a nice game as well, Persona 3 too.

I knew you said something about RPG's, but those aren't your standard RPG's, maybe Persona 3, but those games rock in my opinion. Along with many games people have suggested here.

You should play all three Silent Hill games for the PS2, I agree. Although SH3 is more interesting if you've already played SH1, since the two games have a couple of connections.

No. Lacking too much in terms of polish for it to be asskicking. One does not simply rock into Mordor, you might say.

Also, did I mention ZoE2 rules? Get the Special Edition, if possible.

Well it's not as if they've stopped making games though

DOUBLE FINE’S NEW GAME NO LONGER A MYSTERY

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—September 6, 2007—Double Fine Productions, Inc., today announced its heavily-anticipated second game, the first to come from the studio since their critically-acclaimed 2005 release, “Psychonauts.” In this all new, action based IP, you play the part of a barbaric hero in an epic fantasy world, fighting his way from Rock and Roll Hell to Rock and Roll Heaven.

“We’ve been dying to talk about this game for so long,” says Double Fine President and CEO, Tim Schafer, “It feels great to finally be able to share it with the world. The team has put so much hard work into this title, and I think the wait was worth it. We’ve been able to put an extra layer of polish on the game, which is really important considering it has innovative features that are relatively new territory for us: A deep combat system, selectable characters, and dynamic dialog matrix that is completely different every time you play the game.”

In a surprise move, the developer is distributing its game entirely by digital download, from its own, highly popular website. And in an even more surprising move, they are distributing the new title for free. To play the game, eager fans need only to follow this link.

    About Double Fine Productions, Inc.
Double Fine productions is a privately held company located in San Francisco, California. Investors and security holders may obtain free copies of any documents filed with the SEC by Double Fine by contacting Double Fine Investor Relations.

    Fight Night series
Stuntman (havent played the second one yet, but the first was great)

As a horror games fan i would recommend :

1- Fatal Frame Trilogy "people like the first more"

2- The suffering 1 " a real gem , the second was about action more than horror"

    3- Siren 1 " and maybe 2 , i did not buy it"

4- Clock Tower 3 " i played it once for half an hour , a japanese version so i did not know what to do"

    other genres :
Suikoden 3 and 5 , SMT:nortune "playing it now" , Indigo Prophecy "really good did not finish it till now , get the pal version and you will see a sex and nudity scenes , not in US version "
