Default Hex editor to look at a game file

This is probably not the right forum, but i'll try to explain. I have a Hex editor & my friend had this idea. He wants to look through an .iso file from a game. Says that the 3d models & code for the game should be in there. I opened the .iso up in winrar & extracted the raw data. There are some huge files, like 1GB or more and not many smaller files. None of the files are .pss files which are movies. He's looking for the 3d models specifically. The game was made using Maya 5 & i found a maya 5 .mya file & extracted the header. What should i do now?

the game is xenosaga III for ps2

    This is actually illegal

Not sure what to tell you, other than to find a pss extractor :O You'd probably be better off asking at a place like youngcoders.com. Perhaps this can help?

XVI32 would be a pretty good hex editor.

Yeah, I used that before. Thing is he said he already had one, I'm assuming he needs a way to convert/extract pss files.

3D models =/= PSS movies. As far as I know, anyway.

The fastest hexeditor is probably H it can open really big files in very few seconds, although it's not as feature filled...
