What are the best RPGS for the Original Nintendo Console (not snes, gameboy,GBC, GBA, Game cube, or N64)

Any of the Final Fantasy's, or Legend of Zelda.

The Dragon Warrior series is also a good set of RPGs for the Nintendo

Legend of Zelda is probably the best rpg for NES, takes you days to explore. The 2nd game isnt that bad just a bit challenging.

For turn based rpg I prefer Final Fantasy 2,3, Dragon Warrior 1-3.

note:Final Fantasy 1 is not recommended since it is a rock'n hard and not much fun in total.

why are people saying Zelda is an RPG? is there EXP? do you level up after killing 30 octoroks? how often do you buy new equipment? twice?

I always thought that too Potatoe Knight but for some reason most people refuse to accept that. Like the game is somehow worse if it's genre is Adventure instead of RPG. Zelda is an adventure game, not an RPG. Deal with it.
