Default Are there any known problems with the older "Fat" DS's?

I've been thinking about doing what Haldrie is and getting an R4 so I've been scouting to get myself a cheap DS. Seems I'm a real cheap ass so I can only shop for an old "Fat" DS. So it begs the question: Are there any known problems with the older "Fat" DS's? More specifically the Fat blue model. It seems thats the only color I can find for real cheap, and they are abundant.

    Any thoughts?

I have the old style electric blue DS, and I have never had a problem with it. The only problem I ever had was when my Supercard MicroSD died...but that wasn't the DS's fault

Good b/c if I get this puppy cheap enough I can afford the R4 and Micro SD.

I think the board with socket for the MicroSD card is the culprit. It doesn't seem to notice when the card is inserted, and the Supercard menu comes up blank. The memory card itself is good, because I can put ROMs on it.

    EDIT: MiniSD

Right now im having the same trouble with my Supercard Lite Micro SD for DSLite.

I think the MicroSD card is going bad because me card reader is having trouble reading it too. (Sandisk 1GB MicroSD+MicroSDtoSD adapter)

I used to have the old Phat DS too and never had any problems at all with it.
I liked it, but more and more accessories are being released for the DSLite only , and not for DSPhat

They put out more, but you can't really show it to your friends.
