Default Error message while trying to burn FF 7 CD with Alcohol

Okay, so I have been trying to burn a FF7 CD for a few days now. I have been through a lot of help with SegNin and he has helped me out a lot. I follow the guide that is on here to burn images onto a CD, but when I do I get an error message. I am trying to just burn the files to a CD just like the FF7 Disc 1 is like. I have the .ccd, .img, and .sub.

The error message I get is:

Write Lead In area ERROR, Track follwing Error, Recording failed, image file loading aborted. I can post a more detailed log if necessary. Thanks for any help!

I looks as if there is either a problem with your buner or the disc you're using. Go ahead and post the detailed log. Maybe we can get a better understanding of what is going on but I don't think this has anything to do with the image itself.

I'm downloading right now. I think my burner might be messed up though. Does anyone know how I can do this on a Mac without using toast? Because I can't fine a free trial download of toast.

From the looks of it, it looks like the brand of CDs your using. I would recommend trying either Memorex or Fujifilm (Yeah I know, fujifilm, wtf!? But they have the least FI/O errors)

Try testing your CD burner: by playing different types of CD's in it, burning some files to a CD-R(W), etc.

CD-RW? If it is dying on you. Get a dual layer DVD+RW drive. They're really cheap nowadays. And they'll burn DVD's and CD's.

I think it is. But I have the files also on my Mac laptop. That's why I just want to burn them with that instead.

He's trying to burn a CD, not a DVD, so we need to see how his burner works with CD's.

And since CD-RW are rewritable, he won't waste a CD on a test.

(So. I'm cheap cost-conscious. Sue me)
