    Default arc the lad help

hey all, just got done beating arc the lad 1, and now i want to play 2.

however, when i choose to convert the save file over, it goes back to the convert screen as if i can do it over and over again...

is it converting the data and i just have to go and start a new game, will it ask me to convert later, or is something wrong? i was thinking it would start a new game after i converted save data, but it doesnt seem to be the case for it... im sort of stumped if someone knows..

Are you trying to "convert" the memcard saves or the save states? (should be the memcard)

And are both your Arc the Lad games the same region? Both PAL or NTSC?

yes im trying to convert the memcard not the sav files, as if i were playing the game for real and converting 1 to 2. thier both ntsc as well.

when i go to the convert menu of arc the lad 2 it just keeps going back to the convert menu everytime i click ok to convert

Try it with a different emulator.

ePSXe, PSXeven, and pSX Emulator all are compatible with memcards.

So, just copy your memcard with Arc the Lad over to the memcard folder of a different emulator.

    Get PSXeven from here:
    http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/psxeven.html

    Get pSX Emulator from here:
    http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

Also make sure your memcard file isn't set to Read Only.

ive tried epesxe and psx 1.12 suppose ill try others, all keep getting the same results... if only i knew if conversion took you to new game or if it simply applies it instead of going back to the conversion menu

Download and try this save file as a test:
    http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/save/572644.html

ePSXe is compatible with .gme memcard format.

nope no dice, when i start up epsxe, with that as my memory card, no save file comes up at all.... man this is frustrating no file comes up for even arc the lad 1

its 3am and im pissed as hell, ty for the help, hopefully i get this working somehow....

hey, well i got it to work. the problem was the iso and the save file were both corrupt. since i did this with a psp to psx back to psp transfer to anyone who reads this when doing so, DO NOT turn the eboot back into an iso just get another iso or its origional.

after that go into the bios menu and copy all the data from the .mcr that cwcheat gives you and copy it to a default emulator card, and use that save to transfer whatever you want.

ty for all the help, and hopefully this can help out some others
