I tried cable select, different slave settings, only thing I didn't try was master. But I'm sure you can tell why...

No. I'm busy. Moving files onto the 160GB hard drive.

It was working fine until I loaded xbhdm.
I only selected yes saying that the hard drive was master. Then it crashed...

Okay, can you get the hard drive its installed on, to work stably?
if you can, uninstall and reinstall, and do not say yes to master.
