Default Chrono Cross crash with PSXeven

**** Mild spoilers for those that haven't played the game before ****

Playing Chrono Cross using PSXeven. After going into the dead sea, right after defeating Miguel a cutscene occurs where Miguel talks about Lavos and Serge being "the trigger", then the city starts to collapse and the heroes flee. They are picked up by a dragon and the scene shows the outside of the building. A beam of light is emitted from the top of the building, which reaches into the clouds above, then the game freezes. It won't move.

I have found that I can load a state at this point, but other than that and turning the emulator off (ESC key) there is little else I can do at this point.

    My system specs are:
    Pentium III 750 MHz processor
    running Windows ME
In my hardware profile, my display adapter is listed as an All-in-Wonder PRO AGP 2X

    I'm running PSXeven 0.18
The GPU plugin (as listed in the plugin manager) is P.E.Op.S Soft Driver v 1.14with the following configurations:
    Fullscreen mode 400X300
    colour depth: 16 bit
    transparant FPS display
    use frame skipping
activate special game fixes: odd/even bit hack selected

I have tried running the same game using the same emulator on another computer, a Pentium IV 1 GHz running Windows XP, with similar results and have also tried setting a FPS limit of 65.

PSXeven is a long dead emulator that started the whole plugin system that is now used in the popular ePSXe today. Squaresoft game have the biggest problems being emulated as they use very unique game engines to run them. So far the only emulator to come close to perfect emulation of these game is and new, non-plugin based emulator called pSX The Emulator. Check out the link below for the latest news about it and to download the latest version.

The newest version of PSXeven is v0.19 not 0.18:

PSXeven (and ePSXe) may not be dead:

And PSXeven also was not the first to use the plugin system.

    That was PSemu Pro:
