    1. Copy the 2.71 Update renamed to EBOOT.PBP to X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE

    2. Run from the PSP

what does it mean run from the psp?

The upgrader will appear on your memorystick menu, in the main PSP interface. All Eboots you place in the PSP/GAME/ directories will appear there.
So, just choose the upgrader from the memorystick menu once you've placed it in the directory you listed above..

quit using point to buy posts. no seriously congrats

as for the topic at hand, no one can be completely stupid. I am sorry, but everything has been laid before your very eyes not once, but twice. Geeze. Oki. /end rant

Rename the firmware file to EBOOT.PBP then place it in this directory on your memory stick PSP/GAME/

if that directory doesn't work then try PSP/GAME150

and if that one doesn't work try PSP/GAME/"randomly name a folder and stick it in here"

then access your memory stick via the games menu and the eboot should work for you. There now your hand has also been held for you.

    --EDIT--
You should really get off your ass b/c I downgraded a TA-82 motherboard so if i can do it so can you. (If you follow that ultimate downgrader guide you were linked to you should have no problems just read it. I used the same guide).

Squeble, please don't double post, it's against the rules. If you need to add something more to your posts, use the EDIT button and modify your last post, but don't double post again.
Also, I've merged your two threads.

Now that you have your PSP on 1.5, to install the 3.40 OE-A, follow this guide: http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-hacks-...faq-90741.html
