In terms of fighters, Capcom wins, for sure.

In terms of overall (arcade) library, SNK wins.

I disagree with that opinion very much. But, people can't always agree with each other

SNK > All (that includes Capcom)

..... I think its a tie. Capcom has more classic but SNK have better innovative games. I can't get this emulator to work for nothing. I usually catch on things like this but I might miss a step.

You need to make a folder named "roms" in the folder the emulator is in.
And leave the rom still zipped when you're putting it in.

    Thumbs up

I had already did and I figure out what was the problem. The rom was name incorrectly. It was sfiii(2) instead of sfiii. I can thank dial up for that mistake. Try downloading Snatcher with it. It will give you a headache especially if the internet connecting break.

Hey, so just that everyone knows, there's a new version of the CPS3 emulator up at the Nebula homepage. Fixes, among other things, the transparency problem with the post-match results and next opponent select screens in Street Fighter III Third Strike. Making Third Strike pretty much perfect now.

    Grab it at http://nebula.emulatronia.com

Before I came here, I asked around about this (since I noticed someone was playing SFIII: Third Strike in kaillera) and everyone keeps saying the emulator that plays this is MAME32++

The emulator that everyone provided links to here is a Nebula emulator. Is there any difference between the two? Can the Nebula emulator support online play? I've been unable to find the Mame++ as of yet

Or maybe the emulator I've been downloading is the wrong one

    Homepage for Mame32++:
    http://ddememame.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

Scroll down to get to the download links.

The CPS3 emulator currently doesn't have online play.

Ah, thank you very much. That was a big help. I can't seem to get the roms to show up in the list (even though I placed them in the roms folder and set the directory) but I'll keep fiddling around with it

Yeah, see, I couldn't either. Then I had a look and realized that NO CPS3 ROMs are listed in that version of MAME's ROM listing...At all. There's no CPS3 section. Hell, I even filtered the list by manufacturer (Capcom, of course) and saw no CPS3 ROMs at all.

that's strange. I set the filter to "All" and Street Fighter III: Third Strike was shown. I still can't get the game to show up on the "Available" list, but it looks to me like I'm just not doing something right.. or I have an inccorect version of the game.

you can get the proper chds n roms here in this post I made a few days ago
    http://www.epforums.org/mame-chd-roms-t46456/index.html

if you're using Mame32 from classicgaming's site, look in the list in the emulator on the left column and select "Source" and click "cps3" and there's all your CPS3 games.

Also, you might want to have it check for new roms n stuff ("View" then "Refresh", and also "File" then "Audit all games") maybe that's why it's not showing.
