I know someone got linix running on it, and it being a M$ machine you'd think it be easy to get something like windows 95 running on it.

That seems a little silly. Does it run better than PCSxbox? I think that is what it is called, I haven't used it in a while so I am not sure.

PCSXBox doesn't have excellent compatibilty. Nowhere near as good as ePSXe 1.5.2.

The Xbox; can have its RAM upgraded to 128mb. Also, I reckon it COULD run Windows 98 or ME/2000.

It can run Windows through an emulator in Linux, thats it. The problem is the vastly different architecture, and more importantly, the bios Windows needs to boot, which Linux does not. On top of that, since the graphics chip is closed (no open development kit that uses the graphics chip without the use of the official (and illegal, thus why Linux doesnt use it) XDK), Linux doesnt function at its peak, and lacks any sort of graphics acceleration.

And SL does certain things well, like Mugen, but really, without the needed open source development kit with graphics support, it cant do all that much. But progress was made a few weeks (months?) back on that front, though I dont know how far its gone.

Its not that easy, it just simply wont work without running in an emulator.
