Default Right. ISO to PSP N00b here.

I've tried searching through the forums, so here we go...

I'm thinking of getting a PSP, on the assumption that I can learn how to port my PSX games to it. So where do I start? What model of PSP do I need, where do I get it, what do I need to get my ISO's onto said PSP?

And feel free to slap me if this is a repeat somehow.

Dude, you've got a hell of a lot of work to do...first off, if you buy a brand new PSP from any store, you better hope that its at least at 2.71 FW..but you're probably gonna have a TA-82 mother board and thats gonna make things a little more difficult....you have to downgrade and then upgrade to a Custom FW like ...3.03 OEB or higher. There are all kinds of guides that you can find on this site somewhere. Or you can even just type stuff into google.

Since im such a nice guy, i'll post this starter kit for ya. Try to make this out for yourself. Theres a lot of lingo to learn, so happy trails

Since they posted everything but a application you need to convert your PSX games, I suggest googling Popstation GUI, or simply Popstation.

Your also gonna need to own a PSX game from the playstation store on the PS3(you need a certain file that is in the PSX eboot), if you look around though you could probably find one on the web.

or he can find one of the PSX to PSP converters with that file already bundled with the converter. I know one of them has it... I can't remember which one at the moment.
