Are you using 1.6.0? Try downgrading to 1.5.2. I recommended that to somebody once and it fixed their Resident Evil troubles, maybe for you too?

Plus, i think it is agreed that the Eternal Spu plugin 1.41 is the best sound plugin.

Hey I'm having the same problem, but it hapoens with me in Claire B when she meets Shery at the train. She asks her if her mother gave her a sample of the G-Virus or something like that, then she says "I've never heard of it", then I hear her mother saying something, then comes another voice saying "5 minutes to evacuation", then Claire and Shery say a lot of other things with nonesense. Finaly the game freezes.

    ePSXe: 1.60
    Video: Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.76 using Fps Limit as 60FPS
Sound: PEOpS DSound Audio Driver 1.9 with the first 3 boxes checked

I also tried the Eternal SPU plugin 1.41 and still didn't fix it

If anyone knows how to fix this, PLZ tell me!!!

    EDIT:
I've just tried the ePSXe 1.50 and 1.52, both didn' work...

Use CDmage and check the image you have. It could be corrupted in some way.

Ow man! If I try any other emulator I'll have to finish the Leon A and then go thru almost all Claire B just to see if it works. I don't have time nor pacience for that. But thanks for the tip anyway.
I'm still looking for a solution with my epsxe 1.60

EDIT: I used Cdmage and it seems that my image is all right I guess... I'm feeling a bit revolted with this problem...

Use Eternal SPU 1.41, check the 4 boxes in the config sound window, then hit the configure button for the plugin and check spu irq wait cpu action. See if that helps.

If nothing works you can still pSX as Myst recommended, you can transfer your memcard saves to it.

Hey guys I was looking on the web for some other forums and stuff and I found out that the ssspsx emulator works perfectly for the resident evil games. A guy was having the exact same problem as I was and this emulator fixed his problem. I tried it out on Resident Evil 3 'cause I was also having sound problems with it too, and it worked. So now I'm gonna try it with the RE2DS, but unfortunetly I didn't save my Claire B during the game so I'll have to start Claire B from the beginning so I can get to the part I'm having problems.
I suggest that who ever is having the problem with sound or freezing try the ssspsx emulator. The mem cards can be transferred from epsxe to it.
    See ya
