A question about downgrading a PSP

My psp has firmware version 2.6 and I would love downgrade it to play my favorite old time games but I don't have a copy of GTA: liberty city stories. I read on the psp sony forums page that downgrading from 2.8 is really simple. So i was wondering how i would upgrade to version 2.8
