gaming woes with VP

Hi, I kept experiencing the prob of game hanging with Valkyrie Profile. (The scene of Freya's conversation right before Asgard Hill section). I believe another member was stuck @ the section slightly before mine (the conversation between Loki & Odin).
I tried Ver. 1.52 as suggested but to no avail. Mounting image to virtual drive also doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? Thanks

Use either Eternal SPU Plugin and enable all those SPU IRQ settings with it.

Using savestates is known to cause problems for Valkyrie Profile. If you do use savestates then try using only your memory card saves for VP.

Also Badaro from NGemu had this to say

95% of the problems with Valkyrie Profile are due to sound configuration:

1) Very Important: Go into to Config -> Sound, and make sure the last checkbox ("Enable SPU IRQ hack") is not checked.
2) Use either Peops' DSound, or Eternal for SPU plugin.
3a) Settings for Eternal SPU:
- Audio out method: SPUasync
- Check "SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action"
- Check "SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7"
3b) Settings for Peops' DSound:
- Mode: "2 - Use SPUasync"
- Check "SPU IRQ - Wait for CPU action"

Thanks for the suggestion. Ya, I'm using savestates; VP has a nasty habit of hanging during these in-game scene turning them into nightmares. The last box wasn't checked in the sound config. Realised I do have any of these plugins to begin with, where can I find Eternal SPU?

Thanks, I have found and am using the plugins mentioned now but the problem persists still. Is the problem due primarily to usage of savestates ?

You might want to try to load from a memory card if you've saved somewhere close to the point of getting stuck.
