I just tend to alternate a lot of recovery item games and non recovery item games.

Although I will say that games like Onimusha, Devil May Cry, and God of War made me assosciate killing enemies with regaining health. FUCK YOU CAPCOM!!! (and to a lesser extent, sony)

Yes, yes it is. Any chance the sequel is easier?

Darn it. At least there are no spawning aliens and auto-scrolling levels right?

By which I mean there are more auto scrolling levels.

    And they're harder.

    Considerably.

And the aliens are still around.

    And they respawn.

Damn it! At least Ecco Jr. is bound to be easier though.

Seriously? I found Contra 3 a lot easier than Hard Corps. Oh well.

    Seems we're opposite then.

I could complete hard corps, (Which I assume to have been the same as the US version since I got it in canada) on a console, no problems. Basically would get killed 1-2 times per game when taking the harder paths.

Whereas 3 was at least a little difficult at times.

I always found 3 to have been the hardest in the series

Well, it is awfully nice and cosy.

No. No it is not. Unless by easier you mean 'pretty much as hard'. In which case yes. Yes it is. It's still an awesome game, though. Maybe better than the first. Though I like the first for its nostalgia factor.

Oh, and Ecco Jr. is not so good...

EDIT: I found Contra III harder than Hard Corps too. Though I did play Contra III first, so that might've had something to do with it.

Yeah, likewise Hard Corps was my first Contra game which is probably why I found it harder. I'll have to go back and play through them both again...

I find the average Final Fantasy hard, as an endurance thing. I just don't have the fucking patience to get through four discs of FF9, sorry Square. I haven't beaten one all the way through since 7.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

Out of all of the Final Fantasy games I have played the only one I had any trouble with was 8. I got stuck on a boss fight, it took me like 3 tries. I don't really have a problem with the time it takes to beat one. I can sit and do anything for hours.
