    Default Leaked games?

How often do games get released to torrent or other media sources before their releases? As a pokemon fan, I've been checking torrent sites for any possible leakage of Diamond/Pearl. The only reason I'd believe something like this is because it happened with StarFox Command. Does anyone know anything that could help me out?

    TIA.

Very often, though I seem to see Japanese releases leaked more often than that of other countries.

I have a DS flash cart. It's very useful. But Diamond/Pearl are supposed to come out in a week or so. But being the impatient 15 year old that I am, I eagerly await a release.. to a fault, almost.

Off Topic: You seem to know a lot about Pokemon games. I like pokemon and would try like to try them out but I don't know where to start. I would like to tell you that I have never owned a Nintendo Handheld before and have never played a pokemon game before, so really don't know where to begin.

Just bought an R4 and a DS Lite (having awesome fun with New Super Mario Bros ). As of now, I can't do GBA games and only DS games. You know which Pokemon game should I begin with ??? I don't know a thing about them. Is the story interconnected. I've read so many names of Pokemon games, green, blue, red, silver, diamond, pearl, etc, etc, etc....what do they mean ???

    Care to help me out

Since you can not play GBA/Pre-GBA games some of the best ones are out of the picture (Gold/Silver). There are several spin-off games on the DS like Pokemon Ranger and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but those tend to suck (seriously, they're bad). The next "main" Pokemon games are Diamond/Pearl and will be released in English at the end of this month (April). I suggest waiting until then, or get the already released Japanese versions if you can read Japanese

You can play the Gameboy/GBC/GBA Pokemon games with emulators though.

    Great emulator for GameBoy/GBC:

And of course for GBA there's VBA:

Or if your comp is a bit slow, try No$GBA:

Since you have R4 just wait for Diamond and Pearl, official release date should be 4/22(1 week). I'm eagerly awaiting it. Played every pokemon game since they first came out on the GB... or was it GBC?

First were Red and Blue for the GameBoy, then Yellow, then Gold/Silver for GBC. (not counting the Japanese releases)

    Yeah..

I accidently downloaded green instead of blue/red back in whenenver-the-hell-it-was. I kept playing for several hours too. =.=

Eh.. I later beat Red, and that's it, I think.

Pokemon. Haha. Awesome fucking games. Well, maybe the first 5 or so. The rest are just poor copies, of a sort. I was the first guy in my school with 150 pokemon, then the first to 151, with Red version. My best mate had Blue.I always pwned him in abttles because I had the game before him, and my party were all manually rasied to lvl 100, and he just used the Missingno cheat on rare candies to get his pokemon to 100.

I've finished emerald, too, with an emulator. But they're just not interesting enough for me to justify spending 50-70 bucks on.

I'll probably buy Pearl or something when it comes out, though, just because it's on the DS, and hopefully will be slightly different.

Sorry, the only leaks I've heard were a couple people who claimed they pulled their copies early from inventory at the stores they worked at. That's on GameFAQs, mind you, so not only would I take it with a grain of salt, but probably with the rest of the shaker. I'm looking forward to this one, though - my favourite was Crystal, and I loved the in-game clock feature. The whole GBA chain was mostly meh. I probably wouldn't have gone for Leaf Green if it hadn't been for the whole "trade your GBA Pokemon over to the DS" thing.
