    Default FF8 Laggy FMV

    Hello

Need help with FF8. At the start the FMV is really laggy. Not so much the video but you can see it jumping every now and then. the problem is the sound, it is very laggy and jittery.

    My Specs:

    AMD64 3700+
    2Gb RAM
    ATI x1900gt 256mb Card

For the video settings i used all the tips you have on the forum like frame limiter to 60 etc and nice or fast mode but i cant seem to fix it.

    Anybody got any fixes

    Cheers

for the graphics plugin, try Pete's Direct D3D 1.76. For your sound, when you configure the plugin, are all boxes checked?

It's always good to have all boxes checked. So go ahead and check the last box. See if that does any good on the sound.

Try Eternal SPU for your Sound Plugin:

R u trying to run it from the disc or are u using a mounted disc image?
In my experiance, fmvs run better from disc images than from the actual Disc.

That is true. It's because mose CD and DVD drives can't handle the way a PSX disc is burned even if it is able to make an image from it. Trying to burn the image and using it on a modded PSX can have the same result.
