Default persona 2 not responding problem

I was playing persona 2 on epsxe 1.6.0 at the point where you are in a burning museum. I ran into a battle on the last floor and then the entire emulator freezes and becomes non responsive.

I tried playing the same part on epsxe 1.5.2 but the same problem occured.

PSXeven might be able to get you past that point:

Copy your memcard over to its memcard folder, and set it to use that memcard.

You can do this with some of the other PSX emulators too, like pSX emulator, SSSPSX or PCSX:

Well, switching to a different playstation emulator is now out of the question.
I was hoping that i could continue playing the game through copying the save states, which didn't work.
The place I am in won't allow me to save so I would have to leave the area, but i couldn't cause it wouldn't let me. I realized that all of my save states were inside the building, so there was no way of me going to a point before the place. There also was no way for me to move the memory card because i had gone through the entire game so far with savestates alone.
I guess that's what I get for not saving at all.

Oh, well your only other choices are to try a different video plugin, like the Open GL or D3D DX7:

Or to find another copy of the game that's the same region (PAL or NTSC) and try resuming from your last save state.

And if you get it working, as you can, save to a memcard.

If I were to move everything onto a computer with better specs than the current one, do you think it would work?

Maybe. Might as well try it and see if it works.

Also for your Resolution, you might want to change it from 700x600 to 800x600.
