Default Bug in Suikoden II [PSX] - Futch

Well, well, I was playing the ROM of Suikoden II for PSX. So far:

A few tips and secrets about the Muse-Matilda border led Hero to recruiting Futch and Humphery after Viktor and Flik bought Hero and Jowy back from Kyaro town. This was an early point of the game, and Hero was already on level 40 to say the least when defeating some boss up in the mountains north of Highway Town, where Futch and Humphrey are found.

Hours and hours later in the game is played until Hero responds to a Highland army takeover in Greenhill. This is where Hero and Nanami becomes students while Flik becomes a bodyguard/teacher. If you recruited Futch before hand, place him into your 6-man team before heading to Greenhill.

Going into the school on the North section of Greenhill, Emilia at the front desk examines documents and then to the point where she asks "Do you understand?", everyone responds politely to her as usual, except:

Haha, that was weird to me.

Cool. I never get the Matilda Border trick to work, for some reason.

Also, I love that you brought Shiro to the school. Konami's insane..

    Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
    Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!

You're allowed to bring Shiro? Ultra-cool! Never realised.

And I agree, Futch is awesome. But especially so in Suikoden II. :3

Yeah, it's lovely to see him howl at the question "Do you understand?".

I never liked Futch that much.. He always seemed pretty good to me, but wouldn't fit in the party. And didn't he steal Humph's sword in Suikoden III? :<

I guess I'll have to play Suikoden III or even IV. So far, I have seen Humphrey and Shiro have the best offense and defense on level ~35. And then with Gengen on a unite attack known as Bow Wow, damages are significant.

And so far, almost everyone I managed to get in touch with before taking Tai Ho's boat out of Coronet town, is above level 30. This includes Rina, Eilie, Bolgan, Futch, Humphrey, Millie, Gengen, Zamza, Nanami, Jowy (face, not heel), Shiro, Rikimaru, Tsai, and Kinnison. I simply used the Matilda-border secret to fight tougher enemies and gain more experience. For the rest of them, I couldn't get to. Gotta fly!

You're using Shiro and Gengen? Holy crap. :O Eh, Face and heel.. that means good/bad, right? I can hax.

Also, is it just my memory playing tricks on me, or is Zamza the worst character ever?

Face and heel means good and bad. People use both terms to define a wrestling superstar that people watch on TV, and later discuss about, on a weekly basis.

So far, my worst character is Tuta. Only known for using the Medicine rune, but never active during majority of the game. Around the beginning point, she joins Hero and Gengen to go to Ryube Village "just to get some flour." After that, she is nowhere to be seen until Hero settles at North Window.

My greatest heel is Luca because I spent countless nights putting together 3 best parties to try to stop his "silent invasion" on North Window. Everytime I tried to take him out, I fail. I'll keep reading some more tips and tricks to get a comfortable battle. Until then, like I said, I got several characters over level 30.

Tuta is actually a guy. I didn't realize that before Suikoden III though.

Oh, and the trick with Luca is simple.. make sure you don't die. I only care about having one good party (although the last time I beat him with all three ^.^), and that's really enough. Just keep healing, and you'll be fine.

At first, Tuta looked like a girl. Too bad they don't put sex identifications like POKeMON.
