Default Problem with FF IX using ePSXe

Hi guys. Downloaded the bin file from ur website a couple of days ago but unfortunately I've encounter a problem.

This happens whenever there's a FMV.

I'm using epsxe 1.60, Pete's openGL2 driver 2.7 (configuration is the default "NICE" option).

I've tried using CDMage to scan for errors. It has found 88 errors BUT every time i repair it, it still will show 88 errors the next time i scan the image.

    What to do then?

Downgrade to ePSXe 1.5.2, see if that fixes the problem.
It's recommended to use 1.5.2 for RPGs, like FF; and such.

A good copy of FF IX should not have any error, it what Dan told you doesn't work, try to get a different, error free, copy.

OpenGL2 is for more recent graphics cards.

So, if you have an older or onboard card, you should use Pete's D3D or OpenGL plugins:

If neither using 1.5.2 or switching plugins works, then you'll need to find another copy of FF9 as Cookie said,

Thanks for the fast reply guys.

I'm gonna try using older versions of epsxe to see if it works.

My gfx card although is quite old, it should be able to hand openGL2. It's a X700.

EDIT : WOOT it's working... Downgrading to 1.52 fixed the problem for me. Heh.. Thanks for the input guys.

Actually unless it has been relaced in the last year or so the copy on the site is corrupted. At least I know disc 2 (and if I remember 3) is. I downloaded it a while back to replaced my scratched discs and used the good sectors from them to replace the corrupted sectors in the images I made of my originals.

    [EDIT]
Verified hash codes for all four discs can be found at psxdb.com.
