Default (PSX) Codename Tenka NTSC-U Problem

I have a (PSX) Codename Tenka NTSC-U Problem. Whether I boot it with ePSXe v1.6 or boot it with pSX I still get a message in the game telling me to remove the memory card. Idk how to proceed with this error. If my memory serves me correctly I believe in ePSXe I cut and pasted my memory cards elsewhere and it still gave me that problem. Any ideas?

Have you tried ePSXe 1.52 or PSXeven?
    Maybe also pSXfin.

He mentioned pSX, which is pSXfin.
Maybe try removing virtual memory cards? or get a new one? if not don't bother, game's crap anyway.

    Solved it.

Download and unzip ePSXeCutor v1.0.6.0 into the ePSXe folder:
    http://www.epsxe.com/download.php

Open ePSXeCutor > Configurations > New Configurations > For Name of Configuration, put: Codename Tenka.

Then click Configure ePSXe > Options > For Command line: put -nomemcard.

    Then configure BIOS.
And activate a video, sound, and cdrom plugin.
And finally, enable Sound and CDrom settings.

For Sound, you should enable Sound, MDEC XA, and CDDA.

I would also enable Start ePSXe GUI.

Then double=click the Codename Tenka configuration icon to start ePSXe, then load and play the game.

Oki. This warrants an urgent double post.

    I get this error:

    "ePSXe error: -no param incorrect"

Try it without the minus sign.

    So it would be:
Then click Configure ePSXe > Options > For Command line: put nomemcard

Seriously people. Enough with the sucking comments. I only want to run this game for collecting purposes.

Having said that, what is this VGS you speak of?

VGS or CVGS = Connectix Virtual Game Station.

The VGS and Bleem! were the first PSX emulators--both were commercial.

The companies that made them were put out of business after Sony sued them. Even though Sony eventually lost both suits, the legal costs bankrupted both companies.

Bleem! is hardly used by anyone anymore, but VGS still has a small, almost cult-like following, and it is a fairly decent emulator with very high compatibility.

It's also one of the few PSX emulators available for Macs.

But it lacks alot of the extras that come standard with PSX emulators nowadays: save states, graphics enhancements, etc.

EmuRayden is a hack of VGS that basically adds all the previous hacks that were made for VGS to make it work with Pentium 4's, Win XP, etc.

So, you can either use EmuRayden or find a copy of VGS with the necessary patches--they're the same thing, really--kind of like Cassini and Giri Giri Gav that way.

    edit--
btw, did the nomemcard (without the minus) work for Codename Tenka?

Man I should be slapped in the face... i didn't know it but I subconsciously put a space in no memcard... whoops...

--EDIT-- For anyone else interested it should be entered in exactly like this: -nomemcard
