Yea, it's one of the worst awards shows ever put together. I believe G4 used to do one as well, but it fizzled faster than a wet fart - not to mention IMO all of the G4 staff are/were tools anyway.

But at least with the VGAs we usually get Neil Patrick Harris to host!!

Lol X-Play was their review show wasn't it? I only watched it a couple times many years ago. Awful.

Yeah, that show was pretty lousy too. I always thought Adam Sessler was extremely irritating. His voice drove me nuts, and his attempts at sarcasm and general snarky-ness were pathetic. I'm glad that channel finally went down the tubes.

Im actually a fan of X-Play, actually more so Extended Play. It got pushed the wrong direction with the G4 acquisition of TechTV, but Adam is actually quite knowledgeable on things, and the reviews are short, to the point, but meaningful all the same. They did in 3 minutes what reviewers on Youtube cant do in 30 minutes.

Dark Souls II was officially announced at the VGAs this year.

I'm going to wait for an official video to show up, since it looks like Spike is taking them all down rather quickly. If you feel like subjecting yourself to the VGAs, though, it's at the 47 minute mark exactly..

No gameplay is shown or anything, it's just an official announcement with a pretty cool trailer. I would be shocked if it shows up on current gen hardware, personally.

    Best news ever.

    The trailer was sufficiently arousing.

Wastes of space. Of course, that's no different than most of the shit on youtube.

Don't think I ever caught X-Play when TechTV was still around. I do remember that channel though, it was only around for a few years by the first time I had cable/satellite.
